The Beginning of My blog

Well, here we go.  I'm starting a blog.

First I'd like to start off with a quick intro.  For those of you who don't know me, I'm Max Peterson.  I'm currently a Senior at Ames High School in Ames, Iowa.  My primary interest is technology.  From computers and network, to website hosting and design, to pro audio and theatrical lighting design... Im interested in it.  Some may be interested to know that I host my own web and LAMP server in my basement, which is what is hosting this blog right now.  That's right, this site that you are reading now is on a computer in my basement.  For those of you interested in technology like I am, you will know that it really isn't that big of a deal.  Anyway, I like technology.  I also like other things (believe it or not) such as camping, water sports, Ultimate Frisbee (www.parallelultimate.com, also hosted by me), tennis, talking about politics, and various other things that most people like to do anyway.

So Max, why are you starting a blog?
Hey, good question!  Well I decided to start a blog for various reasons.  A lot of various reasons... I have a facebook, and over the time I have had a facebook, there have been many times where I wanted to post something that was too long for a status.  A logical person would say, write a note!  But I never did.  Now I can write those thoughts here!  On a blog!  And spend a little less time on facebook.  I spend way too much time on facebook.  I also have Google AdSense... I figured this would be a great place to put it.  One other major reason is that I sometimes get bored with free time, so hopefully this will give me something to do.

So what should you expect from My Maxwell Minute in the future?
I am planning on this being less of a "What's on your mind, Max?" or "What are your deep inner emotions, Max?" and more of a place where I post things about technology, politics, comics, news, etc.
That being said, you should see a lot of technology related links, comics that I find particularly amusing (Expect a lot of XKCD! ), rants about political arguements/issues, rants about life, rant about women.... and well pretty much anything else I feel like.

Anyway, welcome to my new site.  I hope it is somewhat intriguing to you sometime.
