My Feedback:

This is exactly what Twitter needed to start doing.  It was beginning to come under fire for it's malware spreading problems, which could scare some users away.  Thankfully they have taken action to fix this.

If Twitter did not do this, just think of all the nasty things that could be spread through Twitter with the large growing number of users there are.
