Best SSIDs on my Roadtrip – Part 2

Read part one first.

Well I'm back from the Canadian Wilderness now, and I only have two free days till I leave for another trip to New Orleans!  More on that later.

So as you read in Part 1, I basically kept a log of all the wireless network names that the truck encountered to and from Canada.  To be honest, I am somewhat disappointed with the citizens of the United States.  I logged nearly 1,500 SSIDs, and only 15 are worth mentioning.  More than half of them were default network names.  These include linksys, NETGEAR, 2Wire123, belkin54g, ACTIONTEC, myqwest1234, default, and Apple Network 123abc.

Come on people!  Not only is that extremely boring, lame, and uncreative, it can also be a security vulnerability.

The next large group of boring SSIDs include people's names and company names.  I can understand a company naming their's "McDonalds" but the number of "Frank" "Jake" and "Shawn"s was sad.

Okay, so even though many of the results were disappointing I do have a list that at least made me chuckle.

So now, I challenge you.  If you are one of those people with an extremely boring SSID, perhaps you could think about spicing things up a bit!  You could even post your ideas as a comment here.
